Nordic Event Workshop (12–13 June 2026)
CREATE YOUR OWN INTERNATIONAL EVENT
Join a unique 24-hour international workshop where young people from Finland and Sweden come together to design and plan a real event, trip or project.
This is not just a workshop: you will actually create something together!
WHAT IS THIS WORKSHOP ABOUT?
This workshop brings together young people from Northern Finland and Northern Sweden to work on a shared idea. During the workshop, you will:
- meet new people across borders
- bring your own ideas, strengths and interests
- work together as one group
- create one shared event / trip / project idea
- turn your idea into a clear and realistic plan
The goal is simple:
to create something that can continue after the workshop.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WORKSHOP?
Your idea does not end here. After the workshop:
- you can continue developing your idea
- you can apply for funding for your project
- you will get support from organisers and partners
We are there to help you move forward and make your idea possible.
WHO CAN APPLY?
You can apply if you:
- are 18–25 years old
- live in one of the following municipalities:
Finland: Tornio, Ylitornio, Pello, Kolari, Kittilä, Muonio, Enontekiö
Sweden: Pajala, Haparanda, Övertorneå, Kiruna
No previous experience is required — motivation and interest are enough.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
📍 Location: Napapiirin Järvilomat, Ylitornio, Finland
📅 Time: 12–13 June 2026
⏱ Duration: 24 hours (from lunch to lunch)

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
Participation is completely free.
The workshop includes:
- accommodation (1 night)
- all meals (lunch to lunch)
- workshop programme and activities
- travel costs covered

ABOUT THE PROJECT
This workshop is organised as part of the project:
Polar Magnets – International Opportunities of Northern Attraction
The project operates in Lapland and Koillismaa and focuses on creating international opportunities for young people and supporting cross-border cooperation.
